Prieto, Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division.

Jeffrey M. Prieto currently serves as a Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice's Environment and Natural Resources Division.  His current duties include representing the Office of the Assistant Attorney General in working with Division personnel to implement policies and initiatives, including Environmental Justice and Diversity Management matters.  Prior to his current position, Prieto served as a trial attorney with ENRD's Environmental Enforcement Section, prosecuting civil actions on behalf of federal agencies under all major federal environmental laws.  He was co-counsel on major Clean Air Act civil enforcement cases including coal-fired power plant litigation and lead attorney in Superfund enforcement litigation. Prieto's positions have included attorney-advisor for the Environmental Protection Agency, White House Fellow, and environmental planner.  He received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master's of Public Affairs/Urban and Regional Planning from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
