Former LAPA fellow Elizabeth Magill named new dean of Stanford Law School

Mary Elizabeth Magill, vice dean of the University of Virginia School of Law and a former LAPA Fellow, has been named dean of the Stanford University Law School.  Magill, who is the Joseph Weintraub-Bank of America Distinguished Professor of Law and the Elizabeth D. and Richard A. Merrill Professor at Virginia, will assume her new position Sept. 1. 

During her year as the Martin and Kathleen Crane LAPA Fellow in 2005-2006, Magill's article, "Agency Choice of Policymaking Form," was honored as the year's top scholarly article by the Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice Section of the American Bar Association.
