Jan-Werner Müller to deliver 1814 Lecture in Oslo
On October 22, LAPA Executive Committee member and Professor of Politics Jan-Werner Müller will deliver the second lecture in a special series on the topic of Freedom organized by the Norwegian Research Council in the run-up to the bicentennial of the Norwegian constitution in 2014. The Norwegian constitution is the oldest single-document national constitution in Europe and the second oldest in the world. Müller's lecture is entitled "Fear and Freedom: The Legacies of Mid-Twentieth -Century Liberalism". The first lecture was delivered in Bergen by Quentin Skinner, entitled 'The Genealogy of Freedom'.
