Aaron Nathan Glasserman'13 awarded 2013 Henderson Prize

for best Senior Thesis in law

The J. Welles Henderson Prize '43 for the Best Senior Thesis in Law is awarded each year to the graduating senior who has written the best senior thesis in the field of legal studies.   It is a university-wide prize established to honor Mr. Henderson, a distinguished alumnus and lawyer.  The prize can be awarded to a senior thesis in any department, as it is a university-wide prize. 

The winner of the Henderson Prize this year is Aaron Nathan Glasserman, for his senior thesis in Near Eastern Studies, called "Accidents of Institutionalization:  State Policy, Sectarian Interest and the China Islamic Association."

David Chen of the Woodrow Wilson School was awarded an Honorable Mention, for his thesis "Justice for Big Men:  Political Competition, Weak States and the Determinants of Judicial Independence in Sub-Saharan Africa."
