LAPA/CLE conference at Reunion

Each year, LAPA organizes a law-related conference that takes place the day before reunion weekend. In 2008, the conference will be held on Thursday, 29 May and the theme will be "Law and Religion." This conference will be available for CLE credit in all US states. Each year, we strive to make available not only CLE law credits but also CLE ethics credits in conjunction with this conference.

Joining us when you're at Princeton

We enjoy welcoming Princeton alums back to campus. If you are returning to Princeton, check our events schedule. Unless an event is labeled invitation-only, you would be most welcome to attend conferences, public lectures, seminars and workshops. If you want to let us know you're coming, feel free to contact our Office Coordinator.

Keeping in touch

LAPA is compiling two e-mailing lists for Princeton law-related alums. One is a listserv for Princeton-degreed law professors and the other is a listserv for Princeton-degreed lawyers. If you would like to get onto either list, please write to our Office Coordinator and she can ensure you're included. If you are not a lawyer but have an interest in all things legal, you're welcome on our mailing lists also! If you live in the area and want to be included on our mailing list for all of our events, please contact our Office Coordinator and she can put you on our "LAPA Community" list.

Serving as a resource for LAPA

Often, LAPA gets requests from students for assistance either with technical help on a legal research problem or with requests for opportunities and internships in law-related fields. If you would like to help us mentor Princeton students, let us know. Please contact the LAPA Associate Director with information about how we can find you and also what sort of mentoring help you would be able to provide. We will keep the information on file and send relevant students your way.

LAPA samplers

LAPA is presently exploring the possibility of going "on the road" and sending out law-related speakers from among our fellows, faculty and alumni to interested Princeton Clubs and alumni groups. Given the popularity of our CLE conference each year, we have had requests to run CLE-credited events elsewhere for Princeton alums.
