Visitors to the Program in Law and Public Affairs join the LAPA community and participate in LAPA activities. Visitors to LAPA come in three forms:

  • Distinguished guests of LAPA are invited to come to Princeton to lecture, teach or participate in the educational mission of the program. Distinguished guests may be in residence for a few days to a few weeks and are typically professionals of high stature in academia, legal practice, the judiciary or public life.
  • Visiting Scholars are invited to come to Princeton by LAPA . LAPA is then their primary affiliation while they are in residence. Prospective visiting scholars are urged to contact LAPA with inquiries about a visit. For those who are not already based in Princeton, we need to say that our space is very constrained and we can rarely provide visitors with offices. We will, however, entertain inquiries from people who would otherwise be qualified to be LAPA fellows and who would like to spend some time in the program.
  • Visitors are guests of or fellows in another program on campus or at the Institute for Advanced Study who would like to be affiliated with LAPA during their stay in Princeton. Guests and fellows of other programs on campus are welcome to contact LAPA when they arrive in Princeton to get onto our mailing lists and to be included in our events.
