Stan Katz is a former acting director of LAPA, and is a well-known US legal historian. He's taught at Wisconsin Law and Chicago Law before coming to Princeton. But he has also directed the American Council of Learned Societies and been very active in a whole host of organizations that keep universities and intellectual life going. We had a major retirement bash for him last year to celebrate the fact that he is not retiring. See the Katzstravaganza event or see Stan Katz's LAPA page for more.
